The Gallery on the Green welcomes material from individuals, community groups and schools interested in having their contributions shown in this new and exciting venue. In keeping with its modest scale, the gallery can only accept postcards, but as these are a universal format, available everywhere, and a socially important way of communicating ideas and images, there is plenty of scope for originality.
At the heart of our policy is the notion that we want you to send images which reflect your interests, travels, taste and opinions. These can either be published, or something which you have drawn or created yourself, and we encourage everyone to use the postcard format to include a written message that adds to the meaning of the image. In addition to single cards we also welcome themed groups of images as this offers you the opportunity to create a miniature exhibition of your own making.
We encourage schools and colleges to contact our Education Director to discuss visiting the Gallery and creating your own exhibition for us.

Images must not exceed 150 x 120 mm (6" x 4") and preferably should be on thin card. We can show up to 28 images – 16 landscape and 12 portrait formats – see the photograph on this page.
We hope to scan selected works for inclusion on this website and expect to display contributions for a period of about 4-8 weeks, but this will depend on how much work we receive. For those who cannot make it to the gallery in Settle we plan to regularly include a selection of work on our website.
If you have any questions, please email the Gallery on the Green Curator.
